Health Risk Assessment
The July, 2004 edition of the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine describes a WebMD study conducted on 500 subjects who participated in a wellness program at a large national employer. Individuals who reduced one health risk improved their presenteeism by 9% and reduced absenteeism by 2%.
Precept offers a state-of-the-art Health Risk Assessment (HRA) tool powered by WebMD™; the most used and trusted health Web site in the country. WebMD’s HRA calculates an individual’s health risks based on the individual’s responses to questions about his or her current health status, personal medical history, family medical history and lifestyle. Each respondent receives a personalized health profile report immediately upon completing the HRA that includes a health risk summary, recommended action plan, physician’s summary, peer group comparison, and links to other health tools and resources.
For an employer, having employees complete health risk assessments provides aggregate information as to the current health status and potential for future illness among the employee population, allowing for review and implementation of appropriate wellness and health improvement programs. Up to 25 standard reports are available at no extra charge.
